Are you looking for activities to actively engage your students in learning mathematics? Then this is the place to look!

These activities were written by Dennis Ebersole for use in courses for current teachers in grades K-6 offered under the Eligible Partnerships grant. Some activities were rewrites of activities and lessons in the exemplary elementary mathematics programs "Everyday Mathematics" and "Investigations  in Number, Data, and Space" designed to give teachers in districts considering or using these programs an idea of the instructional practices to use to effectively teach students with one of these curricula.

The other activities were designed to increase the content knowledge of the course participants while giving them experience as students in a classroom using a constructivist approach. You may have to adapt these activities, since the level is often at the eighth grade level or higher. Let us know if you use an activity successfully.  Also, please send us any successful adaptations for possible inclusion on this site.
