All of the warm-ups can be done in a
relatively short time or you can expand them to take up 30 minutes or
more. For example, the "Let's Make a Deal" and "2-Boys Problem"
paradoxes lend themselves to simulations in which students use
experimental probability to determine if they were correct.

because the "common sense" response is not

experimentation show to be true.

Some of the number patterns warm-ups
require
the use of a calculator. In other cases you can use the
warm-up both to
practice mathematical
reasoning and to review basic
facts. All are guaranteed to amaze your
student.
